Gabriel Guerra has always believed that learning an instrument becomes easier and faster when you enjoy the process as much as the end result. This philosophy was key in his own musical journey. Once Gabe found the right instructor who made lessons enjoyable, he found it hard to put his guitar down. 

Whole Tone Music was born from Gabe’s desire to share this teaching philosophy with the Kitchener-Waterloo community. At just 18 years old, while Gabe was in his first year of pursuing a music degree, he began teaching lessons out of his parents’ living room. With the support of his family and friends, Whole Tone Music quickly evolved into a collective of musicians who shared a passion for providing high-quality music instruction.

Since 2016, Whole Tone Music has dedicated itself to inspiring the musical journeys of hundreds of students from all stages of life. Our teaching methods are rooted in the belief that music education should be both effective and enjoyable. We’ve grown into a thriving community of music learners and lovers, all united by our shared passion for music.

Our students range from young children discovering music for the first time to adults rekindling their love for an instrument they played years ago. We are committed to fostering a supportive and engaging environment where everyone can achieve their musical goals.
