Gabe is the founder and owner of Whole Tone Music, with a teaching philosophy centred around consistency and becoming a complete musician. He believes that with constant effort, anyone can learn an instrument faster and easier than they thought possible. Gabe places a strong emphasis on thoroughly getting to know your instrument, which includes learning about music theory, ear training, improvisation, and songwriting.

For the past 8 years, Gabe has been dedicated to music instruction, earning multiple awards for his innovative and effective teaching methods. He holds both a music and business degree from the University of Waterloo, blending his artistic and entrepreneurial skills to create a thriving music school.

Gabe is not just a teacher but also an active musician, playing in three bands: Red Carpet Revival (a punk rock band), Conexion Latina (a Latin band), and Cami and Gabe (an acoustic duo). His diverse musical experiences enrich his teaching, offering students a well-rounded perspective on various music styles.

Together with his wife Ruth, who is also voice teacher at Whole Tone, Gabe has also founded Whole Tone Events, a company providing music for weddings and events. Gabe’s passion for teaching is matched by his enthusiasm for performing and creating memorable musical experiences for all.
