Alyssa Garcia
Piano Instructor
Alyssa Garcia began her music studies from an early age and has been enjoying piano studies her entire life. As a child she was enamored with the ability to express through a wide range of repertoire and developed a deep love of music. She studied through Toronto’s Royal Conservatory of Music and holds a Grade 10 in Piano Performance and Grade 10 in Counterpoint & Theory. She has performed on multiple occasions in the Kiwanis Music Festival and also worked as an accompanist for The Georgian Bay Children’s Choir. When she is not at the piano, she works as a visual artist and illustrator – combining her multifaceted love of the arts. Her teaching experience includes 5+ years of running a private studio in addition to working with local music studios.
Alyssa is passionate about supporting others in their exploration of music and creative expression. She loves to cultivate a warm teaching environment that is tailored towards each student’s unique needs, while also creating an inviting space to have fun! She especially enjoys working with beginners as they discover their music abilities for the first time. Her dream as a teacher is to inspire others to achieve their musical goals, while encouraging a deep appreciation of the piano.
